May 3rd-5th

Our second basic training event, hosted at Ashdown Camp. Attendees will undergo basic regular army training as per May 1939, months before war broke out.

LANDGUARD FORT

July 5th-7th

The battalion finds itself on coastal defence duties, owing to the heightening tensions with Nazi Germany. 

The battalion will be barracked inside the fort and will be performing a number of battle drills throughout the weekend.

October 19th & 20th

The battalion finds itself readying for active service on the continent. Weapons and kit are checked and packed, and the battalion prepares itself to depart for service with the BEF.

June 1st

Members will be heading home on leave from basic training with full kit, and kit bags on their shoulders. What better way to travel than on a steam train?

July 13th & 14th

With the men being granted leave for the weekend, the nearest village is swamped by soldiers on leave dressed in their finest walking out order,

December 7th& 8th

Final kit preparations are made and the men are readying to board transports heading for France.

November 9th

With war having been declared back in September, the battalion is tasked with providing a presence at the Lord Mayor's Show in London. 

​
